Come to a fun evening of spoken word where soft, loud, humble and confident voices come together! OutSpoken is our monthly evening of spoken word and poetry. This time, we're writing on the Snuggling. Everyone is welcome, whether you're new or have participated before. After the writing session, we'll listen to everything that's been written during the open mic.

We warmly invite you to the closing celebration of our project 'Beyond Shame'.

Nothing is more painful than single mothers living in silence, shame and poverty. But when women stand together, they become powerful. A brave group of mothers from Mama Bolingo chose to step out of loneliness, overcome shame and take their future into their own hands together. For one year, they worked with Mama Bolingo and partners to create a method to fight isolation, ready to inspire other mothers and organisations.

6:00 PM – Fashion show, followed by live music, dance and food

Our mothers will proudly shine on the catwalk. All outfits are upcycled and second-hand, beautifully transformed by our designer Bara Mukandila, who created a unique African look for each mother.

Join us to celebrate, connect and enjoy this special moment!

During this project by the Entity Collective, the Palestinian film Forager will be screened, which deals with how food connects every facet of the daily Palestinian struggle. The film will be followed by a panel discussion with experts and will conclude with a communal meal. Welcome from 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

‘Family Day!’ is one of our recurring events with playful and collective activities for children and families. This is a cosy space where parents, children and residents from Anderlech can meet through fun activities. Everyone can participate in African board games, face painting, crafts, dance or percussion workshops. During the event, Kuumba Kaffee will also be open, so curious passers-by are welcome to pop in and get a taste of the atmosphere. Welcome from 2pm to 5pm.
